North Little Rock High School’s Zach Stadther committed to be a Razorback on Tuesday. He had previously committed to Kansas when the previous coaching staff didn’t deem him worthy of an offer. Kansas is limited to 22 scholarships in this recruiting class and there was some question about Stadther’s grades and whether he would meet their requirements. It was reportedly a hard decision for the Jayhawk coaching staff to pull the offer, but Kansas’ loss is Arkansas’ gain.
Coach Bobby Petrino’s staff reviewed Stadther’s film and decided that he was worth offering. Word got out late last week that Petrino was going to do an in-home visit and if offered Stadther would commit on the spot, which is exactly what he did. He was quoted as saying that playing for the Razorbacks was a lifelong dream and he’s ecstatic that he’s going to be a Hog.
