VERDIGRIS — Verdigris senior Rotnei Clarke had a triple-double Thursday night and also moved into second place on the all-time Oklahoma scoring list in the Cardinals’ 105-50 win over Pawhuska in Class 3A regional action.

Clarke, a University of Arkansas signee, scored 56 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and added 11 assists for top-ranked Verdigris, who advances to face the Holdenville / Eufaula winner at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Clarke was 22-of-37 from the field, 7-of-16 from 3-point range and 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.

Clarke, who left the game midway through the fourth quarter, now has 3,557 career points and moves past former Victory Christian standout and current Golden State Warrior Kelenna Azubuike, who scored 3,530 points.

Scoring help is on the way for the Razorbacks as Clarke is averaging about 40 a game. Click here to view videos of Clarke on Youtube.com.
