TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Demetrius Jemison scored a career-high 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and made two free throws with 10 seconds left to lift Alabama to a 59-56 win over Arkansas on Wednesday night.
The Crimson Tide (15-13, 4-9 Southeastern Conference), which had lost four of five games and two in a row, made 6-of-8 free throws over the final two minutes to move into a four-way tie for third place in the Western Division.
Senario Hillman hit 1-of-2 from the line with 38 seconds to play to give the Tide a 56-50 lead, matching its biggest of the game. Then, Sonny Weems scored twice off offensive rebounds for Arkansas (18-9, 7-6) to make it 57-54 with 12 seconds remaining. [read more]
