The memories are still fresh, the images are still crisp. Two years in a row, Alabama vs. Arkansas has left an indelible mark.
Alabama players can think back to last year’s game and recall the euphoric feeling they had in the locker room after the 41-38 victory.
“Crazy,” running back Glen Coffee said. “A win like that shows that hard work pays off.”
In 2006, it was just the opposite. A shaking freshman named Leigh Tiffin missed two field goals and an extra point, creating a gut wrenching, 24-23 defeat in double overtime.
“A very, very tough loss,” safety Rashad Johnson said.
