Mitchell out after surgery FAYETTEVILLE Arkansas defensive tackle Ernest Mitchell will be out indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday. Mitchell injured his knee during last Saturday’s 52-10 loss at Texas, according to an Arkansas release.

At this time, it is uncertain how long he will be sidelined, Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino said in the release. We are still hopeful that he could return at some point this season. I know that Ernest will work hard to rehabilitate his injury with our training staff in an effort to get back on the field with his teammates. A senior, Mitchell had started 24 games, including all four this season, and ranked seventh on the team with 16 tackles, including a half-sack.
