SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Arkansas couldn’t pass its first road test of the season and ruin opening night for Missouri State.
The Bears celebrated their first game in JQH Arena by beating the Razorbacks 62-57 on Saturday night before 10, 285 fans.
Arkansas (2-1 ) fought back from a 13-point deficit early in the second half and took the lead three times, the last when junior guard Stefan Welsh hit two free throws with 1: 41 left to put the Razorbacks ahead 57-56.
But Missouri State (2-1 ) then scored the game’s final five points.
