There is a new member of Youtube.com who has compiled a very interesting video showing Danny Nutt, the Ole Miss assistant athletic director for public policy, or some title like that. doing a lot of sideline “coaching” for the Rebels during last week’s Ole Miss-LSU game at Baton Rouge.

This is important only because Arkansas and then coach Houston Nutt ran into this situation last year, where Danny Nutt was supposed to have been retired and no longer among the designated nine coaches, two graduate assistants and one football ops person allowed around the team in the designated “team area” between the 25 yard lines or the coach’s box upstairs. SEC commission Mike Slive eventually told Houston Nutt to move Danny Nutt out of that specific area.
And, most may remember, this all seemed to rile up folks because of the whole “Danny Nutt-Teresa Prewett-email to Mitch Mustain” episode. There were some who believed then, and still do, that Danny Nutt was conveniently dropped from the UA coaching staff so that he wouldn’t be subject to the investigation going on as to his involvement in the e-mail.
