Dominique Archie’s putback with 1:01 left in overtime gave South Carolina the lead and the Gamecocks made 6-of-6 free throws the rest of the way to knock off Arkansas on Saturday, 82-78.
Following Archie’s offensive rebound and bucket, Arkansas’ Rotnei Clarke, who made 4-of-8 three-pointers, missed a trey. With 13 seconds to play, two Devan Downey free throws gave USC a 78-74 lead, but Jason Henry’s three got the Razorbacks within one with seven seconds left.
Zam Frederick made two free throws with four seconds left and Downey two more with two seconds to play for the final margin. [read more]
