FAYETTEVILLE – No matter how many hours passed on the field, no matter how much film study went on, each spring practice last year felt like the first one all over again.
Bobby Petrino was constantly teaching and reminding players of his philosophies on football and work ethic. He was in his first season with the Razorbacks, many of who were shell-shocked by the amount of work was required of them on and of the field.
That should all change in year two.
“I expect us to make huge strides,” Petrino said Monday. “We came in a year ago and every day was a new day. There wasn’t any carry over. I expect now to see a lot of improvement. When you do that, you can play fast.”
And Petrino likes a fast, physical pace.
