Hogs’ quick lead stuns Volunteers

Tennessee went into Friday’s game against Arkansas with high hopes after last weekend’s series victory at LSU.

So much for high hopes.

The 12th-ranked Razorbacks took control early and defeated Tennessee 9-3 before 2,075 fans at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Zack Cox had a home run and Jacob House had two doubles and four RBI for Arkansas (28-11, 12-6 SEC), which led 8-1 after five innings.

“We wanted to get on top early and put the pressure on them,” said House, who was one of four Arkansas players with at least two hits. “It’s always good to get a Friday night win in the SEC no matter where you’re at.” [read more]
