OMAHA, Neb. – Arkansas’ surge through the NCAA Tournament is over, courtesy of No. 1-ranked LSU.
Anthony Ranaudo pitched six scoreless innings and LSU hit four home runs as the Tigers eliminated Arkansas 14-5 on Friday in the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium. Ranaudo (11-3) allowed four hits in six innings after losing to Arkansas during the regular season.
Blake Dean, Jared Mitchell, Ryan Schimpf and Tyler Hanover each hit home runs for LSU, while Brett Eibner and Chase Leavitt hit home runs for Arkansas. [read more]
