If you’ve been following @WholeHogSports on Twitter, you already know that Southern Cal transfer Broderick Green has been granted immediate eligibility to play for Arkansas this season. Coach Bobby Petrino announced it a little more than an hour ago at a press conference at his annual golf outing with the media.
Petrino was alerted by director of compliance Jon Fagg yesterday. Running backs coach Tim Horton didn’t even know about it until right before the press conference at 12:30 p.m. today.

It’s huge news for the Razorbacks, who now have a legitimate big running back in the backfield now. Green weighs in at 248 pounds now after summer workouts and is running faster, Petrino said. [read more]
