FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Jarrod McKinney hit a home run in the eighth inning Thursday to lift Arkansas to a 4-3 win over No. 5 Florida.
Florida, which saw its seven-game winning streak come to an end, took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Bryson Smith singled and later scored when the Arkansas left fielder misplayed Preston Tucker’s single.
Arkansas tied it in the bottom of the inning on a triple and single.
UF went up 2-1 in the fifth following singles by Josh Adams and Daniel Pigott.
Tucker’s 10th home run of the season in the sixth gave UF a 3-1 lead.
Randall was in charge of the game after issuing the two hits in the first inning before running into trouble in the Arkansas sixth. Randall had set down 15 straight before giving up a triple to Bo Bigham and a home run to Colin Kuhn that tied the score at 3-all with two outs.
McKinney hit his second home run of the season to lead off the eighth off Randall, who gave up six hits in seven innings and struck out five.
