FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team hosts Mississippi State on Senior Day Sunday as the regular season home schedule comes to a close.

The Razorbacks (19-6, 8-5 SEC) tip with the Bulldogs at 2 p.m. Sunday.  Fans will be treated to a Senior Day presentation prior to the tip.  The senior class includes Ashley Daniels, Lyndsay Harris, Julie Inman, C’eira Ricketts and Jamesha Townsend.

Although the home regular season is ending this week, there is a lot a basketball ahead of this team.  Arkansas travels to Tennessee Thursday and to South Carolina Sunday prior to the 2012 SEC Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.

Arkansas had its eight-game SEC winning streak snapped Thursday in a 50-42 loss to LSU in Bud Walton.  Despite the loss, Tom Collen’s team didn’t suffer a letdown.

“I’m really proud of this team,” Collen said. “We could have come out flat and had a bad practice (Friday) but we didn’t.  The team was focused and loose.  They are working on getting better and thinking about Mississippi State.” READ MORE
