Arkansan making his MLB Debut tomorrow
« on: July 16, 2006, 08:14:47 PM »
Dustin Moseley from Texarkana will make his MLB debut tomorrow for the L.A. Angels of Anaheim, Orange County against Cleveland.

Unfortunately, his opponent will not be Cliff Lee.

Dustin pitched 5, gave up 4 runs on 10 hits, struck out 2 and walked none. In line to get the W, Halos are up on the Tribe 8-4 going into the bottom of the 6th.

Fire Eric Wedge.

Dustin Moseley picks up his first win for the Angels, doing a great job filling in for Jered Weaver.

Dustin will most likely head back down to Salt Lake now and not have to face hitters like Travis Hafner.

If he goes back down, he will return in September.

He will go back down, that is for certain; he was up to spell Weaver.

The Angels are feeling pretty salty about their pitching as is, and may use their September call-ups to check out the progress of Msrs. Wood and Evans down at Little Rock.

Dustin Moseley did sign with the Hogs, for any wondering.

Speaking of which, Cliff Lee is starting tonight. Game time is 9pm central.

but cant blame the kid for not coming when he was like the 34th pick i think that year.

he fanned me a few (every) times in little league.

Tonight is a great night for Lee to get a win, as he's facing another AAA call-up.

I like Cliff and all, but my Halos are a 1/2 game out.

Its not his fault.  .  .did not re-sign middle relief and added two aMm pitchers in Byrd and Johnson.  Same bats as last year, the difference? No Coco Crisp and no one that can hold on to a fuckin lead.

No, I know it's not his fault. He's not that good but really you're right it's bad gm decisions. Doesn't help to play in the toughest division in baseball either. But I still think they need a new manager, among other things.

Paul Byrd isn't shit. Certainly not Jason Johnson level shit. Jason Johnson isn't a major league player. Byrd is a pretty good fourth starter.

Nobody is going to look good with that defense behind them.

I will give you Byrd. . .he has his moments.  I am not as pissed about that as I am with them letting Crisp and the middle relievers go.  Byrd is decent, and yes the defense sucks worse than last year.  The difference is still their inability to close out games. . .

Byrd picks up the W today.  8-)

Indians season is over so the game didn't really matter but the Angels have to go down for my B team, the Rangers.

What a dissapointment, but as a Cleveland fan, I am use to it.

To lower myself and answer a question from someone like you, I care about this guy's family. His dad and I used to run together back in the day.
But just for clarification, it is your kind that I personally don't give a shit about.

Lackey's scoreless streak had to end sometime, though after his first four outs were K's I wasn't thinking it would be anytime soon.

And, the Rangers are about to find themselves out of this race again, because it's now July and the Rangers (for the umpteenth straight year) have no pitching.

If they give up Santana or Weaver, I'm declaring jihad.  Somebody can have Moseley -or- Saunders and Kennedy, and maybe we'll throw in some 25-man roster worthy player like Izturis, Aybar, or someone like that.

I'd really like to have Crawford or Soriano, but their teams are looking for the 61 Yankees in exchange.

Mosely got roughed up last night against Matt Erickson's team, 3 1/3 and 10 runs.
