Fayetteville it sleeted for about 15 mins till about 4:40. 30 mins later there was an inch or two of snow on the ground. Accumulated quick.

At 4PM, it took me about 45 minutes to get from Don Tyson to Joyce on College.  The hill leading up to the mall was a bobsled track.  I saw several people ditch their cars or just give up.  It was among the worst I've seen in NWA in my 30 years of driving.  I think one crazy line of sleet went just north of the mall at the same time everyone said "I'm going to leave early to beat the weather".

My son lives on the west side of Fayetteville, and he said the same thing.  Said he left his house off Mt. Comfort road, around 4 or so if I recall, got two blocks, turned around and went back home.  Said it was crazy slick.

Even though I obviously know the way, I always drive with Google maps. It shows slow downs, car wrecks, popo, etc. On my way home from Rogers yesterday, it alerted me of a wreck and slow down. I zoomed out on the map and it showed 3 wrecks and "red" from Don Tyson Parkway to freakin Greenland.

I jumped off DTP exit and went over to 112 and took it and Deane Solomon road all the way down to the Porter Road exit and popped back on 49. Along the route, there are a few spots where you can see 49. It was a parking lot.

Once I got south of Fayetteville, the heavy shit hit. Traffic was going about 20 mph from Greenland to about West Fork.

So I was called and asked to get the Son at Fayetteville High as the weather turned to shit yesterday. I go a get him it takes 30 minutes from there to clear the intersection of MLK and Razorback, I go down to the 15th street intersection at Baum. Aready had the truck 4 wheel Auto. Was going slow and safe anyways. I cross the track on 15th and start up that little hill between Soup and the Road Hogs Park. A blue small car hits it brakes going down the hill to the tracks and slides across the middle of the road right at me. I was already in the right lane and tried to get as far over to avoid the blue bowling ball. My wheels just went off the road and the truck slid down the hill a  bit. Didn't flip Thank God and no damage. AAA got a tow truck there pronto. It then took an hr to get from there to Stonebridge. The kid was apologetic as hell but got lectured on speed and ice by an elder.

If that iron fence was there I'd not have had to get wrenched up but there was no going back up the hill.

Was on OEM tires, my next set will alleviate this situation. Not that I want to be ran off the road again by a shit stain with Texas tags.  If that damn fence wasn't there, I would have just taken it to the road Hog lower parking lot.

The hill gets steeper toward the  Road Hog entrance and I don't have enough distance to try and drive up it it without having to cut the wheel too much .

We didn’t plant a lot of corn this year, and only a couple thousand in cotton.  Betting the house on the bean crop.

On a side note. People are coming in here and buying up big chunks of any farm land they can find. Same with pasture land to turn into row crop land. It's gone crazy. The buying and the price. Putting in irrigation (if not already) and getting it bedded for this spring.
Makes me think something is up. On a bigger picture kinda way.
