Anyone actually stay on Bourbon? Recommendations?

I go every year.  Chateau Bourbon (FQ, one block from Bourbon) and Astor Crowne (corner of Bourbon and Canal) are both fairly nice and great location.  If you're on more of a budget you can stay at the Holiday Inn on the corner of Canal and Royal, but I've never stayed there.  Know people who have though.  A Holiday Inn is a Holiday Inn....

In my experience, wait until the last minute to book a room.  You'll pay double if you book very far in advance.

If you are referring to my wife's, hers is pretty nice. The ones I am starIng at are impressive. I figure you are referring to me. I'm not a great ass, but just a regular asshole. V was kind enough to make my first avatar for me.

So why wouldn't you talk to him?

Just got back.  Some observations
1) That purple drank at Jean Lefitte’s is an ass kicker
2) The Chart Room has the best and cheapest drinks in the quarter.
3) Char grilled oysters ar Felix’s is good anytime of day.
4) Cooking class at New Orleans School of Cooking was fun.

True story - Coop’s on Decatur has always been a total shithole with rude crusties for waiters. Decent food, whatever.  They put up a velvet rope by the door now they have a line down the sidewalk nightly.  People are sheep.

I knew that from last year. Me and the wife was like “Maybe that’s Nola, maybe that was”. I can see her face but can’t remember her name. She was brown headed quite the smart ass and went to Pensacola for her vacation last weekend.

We had Coops Place for lunch Friday. They stopped everybody at the door to check their IDs. Didn’t check me it the wife’s.

Erica.  Before I got my house in the Bywater a few years ago, she was my neighbor.  Friends with her and her husband.  Good people.

You mean the airlines or the one New Orleans is built on?

Was flying to Louisiana from a wedding, with an early connection in Memphis.  Was planning to have an extra day in New Orleans before the Sugar Bowel.  They kept delaying my flight in hour long increments for 15 hours, which kept me from just renting a car and driving.  Got to New Orleans at like 11 that night.

Then on the way back to Fayetteville the day after the failure to scoop and score, the same fricking thing happened.  After another 15 hours, they were going to cancel to the next morning but they had a seat to Fort Smith so I took it and had a cousin come get me.
