Full Exchange:

Quote
The country singing star and voice of the Monday Night Football theme song, Williams appeared on "Fox and Friends" this morning to talk politics via satellite hookup. He got right into it, telling the hosts that he didn't like any of the candidates in the GOP primary for President, and that John Boehner's golf game with Barack Obama was a major mistake.

"That would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu. Not hardly. In the shape this country is in?

When Brian Kilmeade said that he didn't understand the analogy, Williams was non-plussed. "I'm glad you don't brother, because a lot of people do. They're the enemy... Obama! And Biden! Are you kidding? The Three Stooges."

And an even bigger  :stunned: moment:

Quote
Williams says he plans a run for Senate in Tennessee in 2012 as a Republican.

Exactly. He wasn't calling Obama "Hitler", he was just coming up with 2 people who obviously hate each other (Jews and Nazis). But that was a stupid comparison to pull out.

What ESPN did in my mind is wrong. Hank may have said something stupid that's another discussion but this is America! People have faught and died in this Country so he could freely voice his opinion. If he has a contract, which I assume he does this was wrong of ESPN most likely.

Technically he was comparing Boehner to Hitler. Since Boehner was golfing with Obama, and he said was like Hiler golfing with Netanyahu.

Still.  Stupid comment and stupid -- if typical -- overreaction by abc.

Comparing anyone non-Hitler like to Hitler....is going to cause you trouble, no matter what the context is.

That'd be like Hulk Hogan playing golf with The Iron Sheik.
That's be like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad playing golf with Netenyahu.

There's a million others that don't include Hitler.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean there isn't consequences to what you say. ESPN is a private company and can decide that they do not want to be associated with him because of what he said. That's the real world, kid.

While you are 103% correct on these points, I choose to hate on ESPiN for a totally different reson.  They are a fucking SPORTS(allegedly) network.  They need to report on sPORTs.  They need to keep they dirty whore mouf shut about anything andneverything not SPORTS.
If I were to turn my tee vee to that channel on this day I would fully expect to see them reporting on that idiot bitch in Italy that killed that other chick and got off.
Fuck them and Aurther Blank.
Your new administration.

I'm sure you agree with me that he clearly had played out Boehner golfing as the Hitler character in his mind, right?

He didn't straight up say "Obama is like Hitler." He put up a comparative scenario in which he clearly inferred a good guy and a bad guy. Quite obviously, he thought our president was the bad guy. In any time of our history, that's pretty controversial to express as a public figure, and ESPN has every right to do whatever the fuck they want with that.

Frankly, I was tired of hearing that shit ass song anyways. Just show the fucking game (unless you have a goddess singing like NBC does). Dude was gonna die one day anyway.

Comparing Obama/Boehner to Hitler/Netanyahu?  That's a bigger leap than the one he took off of Ajax Mountain.

Actually I am more hopeful that Faith will get caught up in a torrid embarrassing sex scandal with...um...me.

I wish I had a quarter for every time somebody called Bush "Hitler".

Obama is more like Mao anyway.

Too bad all this political correctness only runs one way.
If ESPN doesn't like Hank Jr they can kiss my ass.

Well since he wasn't arrested and carted off by the authorities for what he said (as far as I know) his right to free speech is alive and well, as is ESPN's right to express their opinion of his comments by booting him off their broadcast.

God bless America!
