But Charlie, the world ends THIS year!
So you're saying the Cubs will win the World Series?
Prospect Watch: Top 10 left-handed pitchers10. Drew Smyly, Tigers: At the start of the 2011 season, lefty prospects in Detroit's system like Andy Oliver and Casey Crosby got more of the attention, but it was Smyly who outperformed both of them. In his first full season, Smyly made it to Double-A and led the system in ERA while finishing third in strikeouts, more than enough to earn him MLB.com's nod for the organization's Pitcher of the Year. Smyly fits the mold of a command-and-control college lefty with four pitches -- fastball, cutter, curve and changeup -- that are all usable offerings. If the breaking ball and offspeed stuff continue to improve, it shouldn't be long before he's ready to help out in Detroit.
I'm looking for the new baseball schedule wallpaper and can't find it.
I follow Smyly on twitter. That cat loves him some Razorback sports, always talking about the Hogs, went to the Cotton Bowl, etc.
I bumped into him on Bourbon Street the night before the Sugar Bowl.
Too bad for Forsythe. Had a good chance to make the team.Logan Forsythe has returned to San Diego and is expected to undergo surgery soon on his left foot.Forsythe tried to test the troublesome foot on Wednesday and Thursday in Padres camp but felt lingering pain and discomfort. The 25-year-old infielder can be ruled out for Opening Day, and might miss the first few months of the 2012 season if he indeed goes under the knife.
Anybody have any info on Schmidt? Can't find much on him. I guess he has been the same since the Tommy John surgery.
