I agree it is probably a good move for Lunney.  Yes, it is Illinois, but it is still a Big 10 OC position. It will help him in the long run, even if Bert is canned in 3 or 4 years.
If he does halfway decent and brings up a QB he’ll move to a HC gig at a smaller school then it’s up to him.

I don’t know anything about him or their team (besides what I watched last night), but I don’t recall us ever kicking the shit out of someone and then their coach got fired the next day.

I saw that too, but it seems to be in doubt.  None of the Mizzou reporters are saying it.

Twatters are backtracking on that already

That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit.

Looks like it has still never happened, unfortunately. It was even Wikipedia official.

I seem to remember that there were a couple of coaches that got sacked after losing to us in football back in 2020. No SEC coaches, mind you, but the humiliation of losing to poor little Arkiesaw after we had won like 6 games in 3 seasons was too much for some of our opposition.

I'm confused. All we played in 2020 were SEC schools.

Maybe I'm thinking of 2019 after one of our 2 wins that year. I'm honestly trying to blot out all Chaggie memories though.

I think you are thinking of GA Southern.  It was actually a week after they played us and I think this had more to do with it than losing to Arkansas.
