Involvement with the USL expansion is my guess.PDL showing Memphis as a potential member of its southern conference... Logo-less, but with the name "Memphis City"https://twitter.com/USLPDL/status/958707827475865601
Memphis has been granted a USL club for the 2019 season. Not sure how that affects the Memphis City club from the NPSL, but I did notice on its Facebook page that there was a post back in October that said "BIG" news was coming for 2018. No later post ever said what the "BIG" news was, but I'm assuming that a move to the USL would be such news. The article below is from last November.Exclusive: United Soccer League confirms Memphis club to kickoff in 2019
Good crowd out at WMS tonight, but the Rangers fell to St. Louis Club Atletico 3-2 after conceding a late goal.
I wanted to go last night but everything seems to schedule for the same dang time.
That was the first game I'd been to this season. Was a pretty good game, although the Rangers definitely need some help in defense. All three of St. Louis's goals came from the right side of the Rangers' defense, and this was the second time this season they've lost a conference game by giving up a really late goal (they lost 2-1 to Wichita by giving up a goal in second-half stoppage time). The Rangers looked really good in the attack, though, with some good build-up play, timely long balls, and pretty good wing play. St. Louis's keeper made a few nice saves, and the Rangers sometimes had trouble getting that last pass into the box to get in a good position to score. They also had quite a few corner kicks that they could've done better with.
I went to the first game. For some reason, the team didn't look as good as last year's team to me.
Heartland Conference standings through this weekend’s games. The top four go to the conference playoffs.
I was hoping for a better margin against an abysmal Ozarks team.
The Rangers were clearly the better team Saturday night. They’ve come a long way since that first game.Wichita wasn’t the power team it usually is. I think #70 for Wichita was actually 70 years old.
