This is the time of year I start paying attention. If you don't watch the UEFA Champions league, you're missing out on filling this no sports time of year with something worth watching.

The Rangers didn't play this year, as the NPSL cancelled its 2020 season due to the coronavirus. 

Turns out, 2019 was the Rangers' last season in the NPSL.  It was announced today that the Rangers will join USL League Two in 2021.

Rangers got off to a rough start in USL League 2, going 0-3 in their opening matches.  However, following yesterday's 1-0 win in Texas over Round Rock SC, the Rangers have now won two in a row to bounce back to 2-3 on the season. 

Here's the schedule for the remainder of the season.

Good find!  I'm looking forward to the new league and new teams!  We've played Brilla before (never beat them).  I don't think we've played the other teams.  LA Krewe is out of Lafayette and apparently won their former league last year.  Blue Goose is a new team in Shreveport.  Texas United is out of Fort Worth.  I wish there were another team or two as we are playing each of these teams 3 times, which seems weird. 

Oh well.  I'm looking forward to warmer weather and futbol!

Mississippi Brilla and Texas United were both in their division last season.  The Rangers beat them 3-2 in Texas in the first game.  Texas United won the reverse fixture in Little Rock 1-0 (I went to that one).

Took my oldest out to the Rangers' league home opener Saturday night.  Weather was very pleasant, had a good crown, and they won 4-0 over LA Parish AC to even their league record on the season at 1-1.
