Benintendi has been great for the Royals this season. Slimmed down a bit and hitting line drives for the most part. I was surprised the Sox traded him and for so little.

He had himself a game last night, 4 for 5, 2 HRs (to right and left), 5 RBIs, tied record for most RBI in a 3 game stretch for the Royals - 11

Yeah. Just from memory he’s had something like 6 doubles and a homerun this week, along with a few other hits.

Thanks for that. I’d stopped tracking after my post above. So he kept it going. Too bad the Royals are going nowhere.

He was in the low .250s about two weeks ago and today is at .276. And his OPS keeps moving toward .800.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, and judging by the lack of responses you haven’t, Benny Baseball is putting together a robust start to the season.

Fifth in the league at .393 while hitting safely in 14 of 17 games, currently on a 10-game streak. His slugging and OB numbers are down but he’s hitting for that high average and driving in runs (10).

Seems he’s back to full health and happy in KC. So glad for him.

Benny and one or two other guys are the only bright spots for the Royals so far this year. They are off to a lousy start. Between Benny playing for them and Big Game Bob's Dad working as their GM, I have started following them to some extent.

As a Yankees fan, I would love it, although I am happy with him at the Royals. Before you pile on, remember I was 7 years old when the ‘61 Yankees were playing, many times on the Game of the Week. Sat with my dad and watched them. Awesome team

They're also rumored to be looking at David Peralta of the Diamondbacks. Let's hope it works out in that direction.
