To be fair, Bielema's calling card was supposedly developing NFL talent.
I guess that comes before winning big games.

Is it squandering talent, or is it a recruiting tool? Depends on your perspective, I guess.
I really hope Hillary can run in 2016 and wins

Depth is probably a bigger factor than 6 or 8 good players, in having W/L success.  Not sure we will ever have that depth needed.

When were at the top of NCAA Football with JFB, the two platoon style of football had not arrived.

Not accurate at all.  I don't know if you're lying or stupid about that claim, but it's nonsense.  So wrong.  Totally, 100% wrong and you deserved to be called full of shit for it.  You are totally lying, stupid, or out of your mind for it.

1964 had two platoon football.  Broyles anticipated it and had his players practice on one side of the ball, which is one of the reasons the Hogs were so damn good.   It's one of the reasons that the private schools in the SWC started to suck.

Broyles continued to be a great coach after 1964.  Arkansas was a great, winning football program in modern football under Frank Broyles.

Trying to make it otherwise is horseshit, shameful, and villainous.

From Wikipedia:

For the 1953 season, the NCAA emplaced a set of new rules requiring the use of the one-platoon system, primarily due to financial reasons.[2] The system allowed only one player to be substituted between plays, which effectively put an end to the use of separate specialized units.[3] Tennessee head coach "General" Robert Neyland praised the change as the end of "chickenshit football".[1]

For the 1964 season, after 11 seasons of the mandate requiring one-platoon, the NCAA repealed the rules enforcing its use and allowed an unlimited amount of player substitutions.[4] This allowed, starting with the 1964 season,[5] teams to form separate offensive and defensive units as well as "special teams" which would be employed in kicking situations. By the early 1970s, however, some university administrators, coaches and others were calling for a return to the days of one-platoon football.[6]

Sorry about that, as I had forgotten and my Freshman year at The U of A in 1963 was one platoon.

Not stupid and not lying.  I was mistaken of the time when the one platoon was replaced.

And if you don't feel that depth is more important than having a few stars, we will just have to agree, but I won't call you any names.

Depth ain't no thang.  Calling Broyles a one platoon coach is the thang.  Mis-remembering is a good way to say that you don't know what you're talking about.

Just so we're clear:

BB is fat.  He's a bad coach.

Hogs suck b/c of his coaching.

Nerdboy Long should fire him.

BB's tenure as "head hog" has been as bad as bad can be.  Houston Nutt was a better coach.

Bielema is the worst coach we've ever had.
