My understanding is the screen on the south end will be the same (as in the exact same equipment that used to be on the north end) size as what was in the north end.  Sitting on top of the stadium, it looks smaller to me (before the screen things are hung on the steel).  Anybody know more specifically?

the old NEZ equipment will now reside above the SEZ and all new/bigger boards will be in the NEZ.  The reason it appears smaller is b/c it won't have the bigly brick/concrete columns on the sides with the big advertising boards.

I wonder much will be done when the season starts.  I remember sitting amongst construction during the Georgia when they were adding on the first time.  You know, the one where they picked us off for an easy TD on the first play of the game?  Did that game and my seats ever suck.  That game is probably why I despise stadium construction during the season.

Dudes, our stadium is going to look fukkin huge.

I drove around it last night, and even though I know the capacity, it will look like a true "big-time" top stadium when this renovation is completed.  The NEZ expansion is an impressive building itself, and both of the scoreboards are higher than the old one.  The new profile dwarfs the old one.  :csb:

It's looking good.  They have a lot still to do with the video boards and it's almost July.

I think they're close on the SEZ board.  IIRC, in the first big expansion, they put up the video board on the frame without most of the finishes, masonry, etc.

Actual installation of the video-board panels seemed to take only a few days.

I want to see what it looks like down there with both screens full on red at night with the lights off.  You could see it from 540 with just one.

I live near campus and can say they start at 5:00 sharp everyday. I don't know if there is an ordinance or just an agreement as part of the construction contract to not start until 5am but I'm glad they don't start earlier because I think they would if they could.

They're doing the "curve" around that end as the renderings show.  The NEZ board is curved on the back side.  It's gonna be sexy as hell, and really unique-looking.

Couple questions for Knowers of Things:

1.  What are they doing to the exterior of the SEZ club area?  There's been scaffolding up for weeks, as you can see in the cam view.  New windows?  Yellow Brick Accents to match the new section?

2.  I assume the AGR lot is being built into expanded parking, yes?

Alumni lot is being expanded for parking & add'l tailgating.

Also taking into account the widening of Razorback.

Didn't Maximus Decimus Meridus kill a tiger or a ceaser or something in that stadium right there?

I wish I had disposable income like that. I'd buy one just for me to sit in.

About right. $4k per seat for the season, $16k required total (no option of less than 4 seats) with a 1-3 year commitment.
