Pretty nice.  I hope Conner Noland doesn't go pro.

Man, that's pretty awesome.

Not to get this thread too off topic, but I don't follow baseball recruiting at all, and I don't keep up with any other teams during the season. I watch the Hogs and that's it. I'll occasionally run across a recruit article on here or another forum. What allows us to recruit so well in baseball that we don't have in football or basketball? Does the state produce exceptional baseball players, or is he pulling these kids in from across the US? Or is the process that much different in baseball? Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere.

Alex, my answer is "What is something you'll never see in Arkansas football or basketball?"

Man, 6 SEC teams in the Top 10 is nice and all, but no way that holds up when we get deep into conference play. Auburn and Meatchicken are surprising, for me.

Edit: Missed where this was for class ranking. My bad. Auburn and Meatchicken are still surprising.

Mingione at UK may be the best recruiter in the country.  Vitello is pretty close to him.  He set TCU up and now he has us set up.

Rick, I don't think there is any way Connor goes pro.  He didn't do any of the big events to set him up for the draft.  Also, his velocity is not high enough to be a first 2-3 round pick which is what I would think it would take to get him to sign.  He works 86-88 and will touch 89 some and occasionally bump 90.  He is probably looking at Arkansas and thinking he can go play QB next year.

Oh, he's a solid commit to the Hogs for football and baseball. I hope he gets to play both.

Please let Campbell be healthy. This is setting up to be DVH's best team to date.

Looks like BA's came out in late January last season.

we made every publication's way too early omaha picks list. We are going to be a top 5 preseason team if no major players get hurt before start of season. DVH had to run off some pretty decent players to make room for the better ones we have coming in.

That's a good worry to have, in my book. Liking all the early love, just hope we play up to it.

I've had this video on a disk for a while and decided to rip it and upload it. Here's the top of the 9th vs. Wichita State in 2004. The video was taken by Brady Toops's dad. You can fast forward to around 14 minutes if you just want to see the Slam, but it's fun to watch the whole thing if you have the time.

I STILL get chills.

That was awesome.  That weekend and the following FSU series is when I really started following Arkansas baseball.

You see how loaded those bats were. With BBCOR that would have been a weak pop up

One of my favorite games in any Razorback sport.

If South Carolina and Vandy can do it we can do it.

I watch a lot of college baseball. Someone help me out and explain why A&M is a better baseball program than South Carolina or Arkansas.

The same way they're a better football program.  Never mind that whole 100 years or so of data that shows they're mediocre at best.

Good question.

We'd need to know what they consider the "current era" and what they consider "recent history."

It would be nice if they showed their work.

A&M really does get sucked off quite a bit from the media, and I have no idea why. For all the advantages they supposedly have, they've done absolutely nothing in anything.
