He may not supplant Correa at SS any time soon

Of course not.  Correa is the best SS in the game and is six months younger than Bregman.

.500 after the first game so he's on track.

Putting Lackey out there because you were saving Davis for the save is just brutal, Joe.
Matheny-esque, even.

I’ve never experienced anyone working at CFA being a jerk or rude but yesterday I encountered a guy in the drive thru who was not only rude but a jerk. When I finally had my order and he didn’t even say my pleasure I yelled “thanks for being a jerk” and drove off.

Woah there, I hate the Cubs as much as the next man, but that's just pure evil.

Joe does some stupid shit sometimes, but that wasn’t one of them.  Wade threw over 40 pitches the other night.  He doesn’t want to waste his arm unless he had to.  Pulling Strop after 1 inning on the other hand was dumb.

None of this matters if the Cubs don’t start hitting.  Heck of a time to go into a team wide slump.

1 for 3 in game 2 knocks him down to .400.  He has two more games to get it back up.

Eh, inserting Lackey was dumb.
Explaining why it wasn't Davis there by saying you were saving him for a stat is dumber.

Who said anything about saving Davis for a stat?  Strop should have pitched another inning or two.  Davis should have been saved for getting one or two high leverage outs, no more.

It's what Maddon said postgame. Said he needed Davis for the save.
I take issue with his answers/explanations there more than anything.
He should not have used Lackey in that spot, period.
It was not as bad, but was in the same ballpark, as Matheny using Wacha in the 2014 NLCS with the series on the line in an elimination game.

What is a "high leverage out.?"  I notice all the cool kids on TV are saying it this year.  Is this a new kind of out that didn't exist for the first 116 years of the modern era?

Fair enough.  I turned off my tv before Turner’s HR had even landed.  Joe was the coach of the Cubs team that ended the drought, and for that he gets a ton of credit, but his biggest weaknesses are bullpen management and playing “hunches”.  A great in game manager he is not.

Thank you. For the love of God, the Astros need the support of all baseball fans with the exception of Cubs and Dodgers fans and even then, they could root for the Astros today and Friday.  We CANNOT let the Yankees make it to the World Series.  The Evil Empire cannot triumph.  Goodness must prevail.

When and if the Yanks clinch, cause I know the Dodgers will, the TV execs will jizz themselves to sleep.

They probably already are.  4 largest cities in the US in the "final 4".
