Oh I'm not saying Geno can't coach. That guy is a machine and tireless recruiter. Last year on a Monday night UConn won their 100th straight game and had the huge celebration/fanfare afterwards on ESPN etc. 20hrs later he was sitting by himself in the Stuttgart Jr High gym watching Williams play.
He's got it all going, recruiting, coaching, momentum.   The only reason Holly is still coaching is her connection to Pat.  She won't be able to ride that much longer.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere. Looks like the nba is thinking about ending the one-and-done rule.

tell me how changing this rule will screw us, because I know somehow it will

He's an unbelievable coach.  They execute so well and play great defense    Amazing watching studs play match up zone with that intensity up 40

Tubby with some wisdom. I didn't know 800 kids had transferred last year. I also see where he got his discipline from.

“Things not going well, let’s quit,” Smith said.

Smith recalled his own college days at High Point College, which he attended 1969-1973. He was unhappy there and called his dad for advice.

“There were two blacks in the whole school,” Smith said. “My dad said, ‘Somebody do something to you?’ I said no. ‘You’re still getting your scholarship, aren’t you? They’re still feeding you? They’re still housing you? You’re still getting your education?'”

“I said, ‘Yes, sir.'”

“You can’t come home,” he recalled his father saying. “Your bed’s been taken. But you can join the Army.”

“That was the best thing he ever said to me,” Smith said.

As for the current transferring trend, Smith complained: “Somebody needs to tell them that you made a commitment. Stick to it. But it doesn’t happen that way.”

That's fresh coming from him. How many times has Tubby quit to take other jobs?
I wonder if Tubby thinks he taught his players how to "quit" when he left Tulsa for Georgia in 95 and then UGA for Kentucky after two seasons?

I’ve never experienced anyone working at CFA being a jerk or rude but yesterday I encountered a guy in the drive thru who was not only rude but a jerk. When I finally had my order and he didn’t even say my pleasure I yelled “thanks for being a jerk” and drove off.

I love conference championship week. LIU-Brooklyn and Wagner U. are throwing haymakers (figuratively) in the NEAC Final. Good game so far.

Geno’s team still play team ball with solid fundamentals. Lots of folks in the 90s wanted the women’s game to be like the men’s game - and it has - jacking shots and bad fundamentals. It has only widened the gap between UConn and the rest.

I have always thought the G-league/ developmental league should be an option for the kids that don’t want to go to college and make money. However, what will the salary structure be and who is going to or be allowed by his handlers to swallow his ego and play in the g-league?

Has anyone mentioned how terrible Bob Huggins looks?

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job

No shit. I think they had made a total of 4 shots deep into the second half.

Is this more for Euroleague scouts than NBA scouts?

A lot of players have gotten drafted from a good showing at PIT but usually in the second round. You go play for the top Euro teams and you’ll make good money.
