He was voted SEC preseason POTY before he ever played a minute.

What horseshit.

Missouri announces Michael Porter Jr. will miss the rest of the season due to a spinal disc injury.

Sounds serious. I assume it will affect his draft position, right?

Right?

They got a grand total of 2 minutes of game play out of this kid.  Ouch.

He was also voted preseason first team All American.

Again, before he ever played a minute of college ball.

The media is dum.

Then they should be able to get a medical redshirt so he can still get 4 years of college ball.

Business decision.

That was not a good team we barely beat at home.  We seriously may not win another game this season. - BASS January 20, 2018, 07:40:43 PM

You knew someone would eventually abuse the system and get a free year of training without the risk of injury that playing as a "one and done" would bring. Missouri gets one of the great scout team players of all time.

Mizzou got played hard.  Bankrolling his dad and providing medical treatment coverage for MPJ.  Feel bad for the kid that he’s hurt but not so much for Mizzou.

Hate it for MPJr but fuck Mizzou this news made my day.

Watching the TAMU game earlier and they were talking about the resurgent SEC basketball and what drop off exist after UK, FLA and TAMU. They mentioned Alabama, Mizzou (with their new coach in place) and South Carolina. So I see where we rate.  :haironfire:

Good.  Nolan's teams were always at their best when it was us against the world and this is the closest team team to Nolan's teams I have seen in the last 20 years.  These guys are different.  They giveth no fucks and are going to wreck shop in Portland.
