That is odd. May be difficult to replicate. If any of you find any common situations where it happens it will help me fix it.

Seeing it again

Basically what I’ve determined is it’s offset. The thread clicked on takes you to a thread two threads below it.

This comes and goes. I use the timeline field to sort mainly if that helps.

I’m wondering if the annoying ads are causing something to get out of sync.

edit: quick and dirty youtube of it. Can't really tell what I click on from the screen recorder like I had hoped so I guess you'll have to take my word for it.

I’m guessing I’m the only one, since no one else has complained, but woopig stopped connecting in safari on my iPhone SE at 2pm yesterday, and hasn’t worked since.  Just spins, then says it can’t reach the server.

I can open it no problem in other browsers, safari has no problem loading any other site, and I have cleared cache and history, so pretty sure it’s not on my end.  I know the time because I was shit-surfing at the time yesterday, several threads worked fine, and 10 seconds later the site was unreachable.

Open tapatalk and double click your home button. Then swipe up on the Tapatalk page which will kill it. Then reopen and see if that helps.

I don’t have Tapatalk, soooo

I missed the Safari part.

These similar symptoms happened to me before and it ended up being my router having a fit over something. In your case it could just be a wild hair up Safari’s ass.

In my case my router has a package called Snort running and it looks at my traffic, automatically downloads a black list and if anything from that list gets flagged it will alert and block that ip/ca or whatever.

I sometimes have trouble uploading pics on woopig because Snort doesn’t like it for some reason. What will happen is the network will just lock out woopig and it will spin away. I’ll have to go in and white list what it has flagged. Always woopig and never anything else.

It’s the same at work and home, Wi-Fi and not.

Are you running any proxies or maybe a custom DNS?  Or a content blocker?

The nuclear option is to reset all network settings. You’ll lose passwords and a lot of shit but it might chase the demons out of Safari.

Lots of sites don't work with Safari and when I've had issues with some of the company sites I work with they tell me to use Chrome.  Apple is slowly becoming irrelevant.

It’s working in Puffin.  I’m just lazy, and only want to open one window.

On the Tapatalk weirdness. I’m not sure I made mention of this but the time is wrong when I open the app. So maybe there is some kind of time sync issue. I’ll get into some other boards with Tapatalk and see if the problem follows.

EDIT: The time thing seems to follow to other boards so the issue may be with my account or something

No, Tapatalk is for SMART people who know how to use apps on their phone.

The smart person is the one who installs extra programs, reduces their own privacy and eats extra resources because they can't figure out how to use a web browser?

Interesting theory.

A third party browser I only have on my phone because Safari wouldn't open Mypaychex.

As of a day or two ago I can't access Woopig on my iPad through Safari.  Just tried Tapatalk for the first time in forever and it won't work there either.    It works fine on my iPhone in Safari.
