Congrats Brewers.  I thought there couldn’t be a team I wanted to beat more than StL, but you might have taken than prize.  Watching Lester throw out Braun at 3B was beautiful. There’s not a more punchable face in baseball.

Surprisingly, Ohtani is living up to the hype so far.  He homered in 3 straight games and then had 12Ks today.

 :stunned:

this is the least give a shit football season i can remember.

Angels and Astros should be a fun race this season. Also Boston has busted out of the gate strong, and my Braves are playing beyond their means to start.

Man, most of last year's playoff teams are starting off slow this year.  Other than the Astros, the other 3 teams in the ALCS and NLCS are a combined 13-15:  NYY are 5-5, Cubs are 5-4, and LAD are 3-6.  2 of the division series losers, Boston and Arizona, are off to hot starts, 8-1 and 8-2 respectively.  Astros are 9-2 so far.

Saw a graphic last night or Sunday that showed that the Astros have the longest current streak being above 500 with something like 650 days above 500.  Next best was something like 350 days.

Just wanted to say I think the MLB Network does a great job. "MLB Tonight" is a great show, mainly because Harold Reynolds is funny as hell. Also they have recently been featuring former Yankees manager Joe Girardi, who does a great job.  In addition, there is Kelly Nash, who apparently owns 600 skin-tight dresses in various colors and designs. Not that I'm complaining. And yes, I know the rules.

Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fellow says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace - and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

Hit 2,995.

3 games at home to get 5 hits. My guess is he gets it at home.

Rosenthal did a write-up on how well the ex-Cubs farmhands are doing. Christian Villanueva already has 9 homers. I’m not sure he hit that many in any minor league season. Even Soler is hitting.

What Mookie is doing right now is pretty insane.

Most 3-homer games in Sox history, and first player to have four such games before age 26.

The Cowboys are playing baseball now?  Is Romo coming back after TJ surgery?

I'll forgive your disrespect, since I'm in a good mood thanks to the Braves' return to their rightful position in the division.

Mookie hit another one tonight, his league-leading 12th.  Only the 4th homer in his last 5 AB.

He also tied some guy named Dom DiMaggio for most leadoff homers in franchise history.

And had a two-run double for good measure.

I noticed the Braves are +57 in run difference. That's usually a good sign that you're winning games, I know Capt. Obvious and all.
