Holy shit, the chef at the ballpark is one of my peers and we were talking about that!  I had had a few beers by then but he said that the guy was older and worked for our company for awhile.  He was missing awhile and they just found him in there.

He was just chillin'

And another one goes down.  It is hot!

I just went for a run.  Not calling anyone a pussy after being outside in that heat.

Kinda blows my mind at this point in the season that the Astros have played 5 more games than the Yankees.  Seems like they'd all be about the same at this point, plus or minus 1 or 2 games.  Astros have played 92 games (61-31) while the Yankees have only played 87 (58-29).  I suppose maybe they had a few rainouts or whatever.  5 games seems like a pretty big spread.  Anyway, carry on.

The 4 best teams by record in the major leagues right now are in the AL.  In order, Boston, Houston, New York Yankees, and Seattle.

All it did was rain in the Northeast the first month of the season. The doubleheader with the O's yesterday was because of a makeup game.

Word.  Mets were a few games behind too.  They also had a DH yesterday.

Hope he stays up for a few weeks at least.  I will be there to see them play the Yankees the first weekend in August.

Saw a graphic the other day that the only franchises to never put up 20 in a game is the Rays. The Diamondbacks were on the list before putting up 20 earlier this week.

They have scored in every inning so far.  5-4-3-6-1.  Just coming up in the bottom of the sixth.  Started with a lead off double.

Has any team ever scored in every inning?

Cool.

Alas, the Rockies weren’t the 20th.  They had only two more hits the rest of the game.

Yep.  Weird.  Score 19 runs like that then only 2 more hits.  I didn't look closely at the box score but how many pitchers did the Diamondbacks roll out onto the chopping block in those first 5 innings?  :D

A few. One of them was their second baseman Daniel Descalso.  He gave up 3 runs but actually pitched 2.2 innings.

Descalso gave up a no-doubter bomb to the pitcher.

I’ve never experienced anyone working at CFA being a jerk or rude but yesterday I encountered a guy in the drive thru who was not only rude but a jerk. When I finally had my order and he didn’t even say my pleasure I yelled “thanks for being a jerk” and drove off.

What do you expect from someone throwing 75 mph heat?

Would the manager of the STL Cardinals please raise your hand?

Not so fast there, Matheny.
