Connor Noland Apparently Watched the Spring Game

Because he's saying 'nevermind' about pro baseball.

https://www.seccountry.com/arkansas/arkansas-qb-signee-connor-noland-will-join-razorbacks-in-may-wont-pursue-pro-baseball

“I attended the Razorback Red-White spring football game this past weekend and many Razorback baseball games this season, which has led me to the conclusion that I want to be 100 percent committed to being an Arkansas Razorback.

Looks like he saw the same QB play I saw from Kelly and Storey.  What that says is that he thinks he can come in and win the job now.

Whether or not he wins the job as a true freshman, I'm happy he's got that attitude.  He certainly should feel very comfortable in the Morris offense.

Giving yourself the best chance to hire an elite coach?  4-5 Million dollars
Giving an elite coach the facilities he needs for your program?  35-50 Million dollars
Firing that coach?  Priceless.

He might be smart enough to know that being a professional is never guaranteed, but being a stud college player in two sports CAN be guaranteed, at least for a year or two.

Definitely guaranteed. Just ask Landon Leach and Jim Youngblood.

He wasn’t going to be a high draft pick

Jim Youngblood is a lawyer now so I don't think he cares.

Apparently he sent an email/letter to all 30 MLB teams telling them to not bother drafting him, as he will be playing quarterback AND pitching for the razorbacks.

I love a kid with a set of balls on him.

I reckon he would listen if/when someone drafts him. If he's drafted real high.

Oh and Jim Youngblood...that's a name I haven't heard since before the war.

Is Jim short for Jack like Jack is short for John?

There was a Jim Youngblood that played 12 years mostly in the 70's, made a pro bowl once.
