Women's Golf Playing for NCAA Championship
« on: May 16, 2018, 08:34:33 AM »

The ladies are about to compete for a national championship, over this weekend and into next week.

The top eight teams then compete in match play for the championship.

Here's the schedule:

Saturday, May 19
Second Round, stroke play 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM CT

Our neighbors daughter is a redshirt freshman on the golf team.

She is not with the team at the tournament.

She is playing a US Open Qualifier at Cape Cod National.

Men made it, too. Pretty good comeback after a poor day yesterday.

"they" say that the blessings is so hard on the players that most other courses are cake to them when they play which is why we're seeing the good results the last few years.

I’ve not played it but did get a tour several years ago from the previous men’s coaching staff. It’s pretty ridiculous, from the tips, especially. I’m sure a few on the board here have played there and can give first hand experience but just riding a cart through the course was intimidating.

The men’s and women’s NCAA championships are going to be held there next year. Get your walking shoes ready. http://www.arkansasrazorbacks.com/championships-2/

The blessings is a travesty.  No parking and room for spectators for the event it deserves....it's a mother fucker and I'm not a scratch golfer

I've played it probably a hundred times.  It's very hard but more playable now than in years past.  The first few years it was open it was absolutely brutal.  The only course in Arkansas that could compare in difficulty is Mystic Creek in Eldo.

The ladies are off to a less than optimal start, +32 after two rounds and tied for 16th. They have to move up one spot to get to the final qualifying round, and ultimately eight spots to get to match play.

This is often the case.  I was a club pro in Chicago, when Butler Natl opened and it was ridiculously difficult.  As time went on some of the brush and trouble got cleaned up a bit and it became a little more playable.

That is why I am a huge fan of the old courses, with Medinah #3 being my all-time favorite.

When I was in school our course was Fayetteville CC and Ellis Bogan was the coach.

That +20 on day 1 didn’t help

Also, I want to have sex in and around your mouth. Please tell me you're in central Arkansas so we can meet up.  I'm not hard to find.

Can our Admin change the thread title to Austin Allen's Cock?  If so, then put me down for 10 inches, at least.

11th going to tomorrow.  They had a nice day to get into the Top 15 so they get to tee it up again.  They are 6 shots out of 8th place, which is doable, but they'll have to play pretty well.

Yeah, with a little over half their round left.  They'll likely need a sparkling finish AND some help.  5 strokes and need to jump 4 teams.

At +33, #8 is at +29.  A few teams seem to be faltering so if we could gain 2-3 strokes, might sneak in.

Looks like we couldn't put enough good holes together and other teams stopped their falls.

Currently +34 with +29 to make 8th place.

Wow, at +34 and Tied for 9th.  Baylor at +33 in 8th.  almost over.

Two girls at 16th, one at 17, so we need one of them to step up or someone from Baylor to take it in the ass.  Come on girls.

Two girls from each team at 18th hole, still down 1.  We need something to happen on this hole.

We didn't get it done, however, tiny hope.

We are +34 and finished in 9th.  Baylor is +33 and finished in 8th.  However, Kent State is +32 and in 7th, but is +5 on the day with 12 holes of golf left, so we hope htey implode.
