I’ll wager a picture of Duckman’s wife’s tits that Gruden falls flat on his face with the Raiders.

because of darnold's contract, the raiders were going to have to make mack the highest paid defensive player in history. now the bears get to do that.
if the rumors of two first rounders and another player are true, they made out pretty damn good.

yeah.  i don't disagree with trading a guy that wants enough money to hamstring your organization.  rams better get it this year cuz the gurley and donald contracts are going to catch up with them.  they'll have a superstar on each side of the ball and a bunch of mediocrity all around them.

fuck your feelings

Two ones and a player for Mack.  Bears then have to pay him huge money.  Bears are rebuilding with lots of needs;  they killed their draft leverage and their cap with this. Continued stupidity.

Raiders are a mess.  Could have afforded it with clever cap structure.  Who’d want to play in Vegas for them.  They will be the visiting team at home.

Yeah, I think this is a move you make maybe next offseason.  They’re still a draft or two away.  Well, they were.

This may bump them from 4th to 3rd place in the NFC North.

That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit.

I think Detroit may surprise some people this year.

You're right.  They may hold on to that coveted 3rd position.

They have a genius for a GM.

As a Cowboy hater, I hope he lives forever.

Bailey has not been the same since he came back from the last injury and was a bit shaky in camp.  New guy drilled a 57 yarder other night.  Saves $4m in cap space.  Cowboys have one player over 30, their long snapper Ladoceur, who I think has been on the team since 83.

Today's 53 will not be the 53 that kicks off next Sunday.  I expect they might be going after Earl Thomas with this move.  Hope they sign G Jonathan Cooper back who SF cut today and a couple other folks.

Haha. Steelers gained a 3rd round pick for Bryant who is now likely to be suspended for the year. What a waste a talent.

The Saints cut Jonathan Williams today. I thought he was safe? Maybe my Steelers will pick him up.

I had to look this up to believe it.  He had a great camp.  He’ll end up somewhere.

Other former Hog cuts (including a couple of head-scratchers)...

Knile Davis by the Bears
Jeremiah Ledbetter by the Lions
Dan Skipper by the Lions
Cobi Hamilton by the Colts
Otha Peters by the Chiefs
Bijhon Jackson by the Chargers
Drew Morgan by the Dolphins
Travis Swanson by the Jets    ???
Denver Kirkland by the Raiders
Austin Allen by the Buccaneers
Josh Liddell by the Buccaneers
Martrell Spaight by the Redskins ???

Swanson has had some concussion issues, so maybe that was the deal with him.  But I thought Spaight had continued to do fairly well.

Surprised by Williams getting cut...reminds me of Decori Birmingham who always did well in Panthers camp and never made the team.

Spaight getting cut shocks me.  The players and fans there loved him.  He was one of the leaders in the lockerroom there.

Some of these guys will get picked up this week or signed to practice squads.  For others they have played their last nfl snap.   XFL and AAFL beckon

I loved Bobby coming in and telling the team that the coaches were going to go out and recruit better players and that they could all work out the depth chart themselves.  We didn't quite see how that worked out but I love the spirit.

That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit.

Almost 1000 players cut yesterday, only 39 claimed.  Remember vested vets go straight free agent and skip waivers.  Lynch and other failed top picks come with their big contracts so they don’t get picked up usually.

Spaight played inside linebacker for the Redskins.  That position for the skins calls the defense on the field and apparently Spaight couldn’t do that. That’s what I heard from one of the Redskins reporters the other day on the radio.
