Im trying to determine which of these rookie QBs I want to see fail the most.  I think Rosen is bringing the highest level of douchebaggery; I want to see Suh and Donald cut him in half.  He carries himself like he's out to play tennis at the club.

From the Times-Pic, after last night’s preseason game:

Quote
Johnathan Williams
It’s becoming apparent that the third-year back from Arkansas has a solid hold on the No. 3 spot behind Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram. Williams reeled off a nice 19-yard run between the tackles against the Cardinals’ first-team defense, showing excellent vision and balance. On the play, he juked safety Tre Boston in the open field to pick up an extra 7 yards. He averaged a solid 4.6 yards on 8 carries and led all Saints running backs in rushing for the second consecutive game. At this point, Wiliams appears to have a clear lead over veterans Shane Vereen and Terrance West for the No. 3 tailback job.

He’ll get a ton of carries through week 4 with Ingram suspended.

His ability to challenge a first team defense will probably earn him an NFL Pension on practice teams.

He still had the ball.  How is that roughing the “passer”?

He didn't give the quarterback time to establish his postion, set his feet, and complete the act of throwing the ball.  That's as clear-cut of a roughing the passer call as you'll ever see right there  *:

That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit.

Watching the Colts vs ravens

Ravens TE catches ball and runs and decides to leap feet first into defenders potentially causing harm like spiking the fuck out of someone. They called a personal foul leading with the helmet on the defense.

I’m all in this year because the Saints look really good, but the NFL just isn’t the overall product that it used to be.  They’re in real danger of losing a ton more fans.

If it's called like the preseason, definitely.  I can't believe they think this is for the good of the game, or the players.  The "recently" retired players I've heard the last couple weeks, who played during the known possible CTE era, have it right.  Nearly to a man, they said players now KNOW the risks.  It's just a factor you have to weigh.  Some of the other practice rules, game rules and new technology should reduce the risk of CTE, but if you call things like the video above roughing the passer, they will lose a lot of fans.

At the rate it's going, I could see it being the #3 or #4 watched sport in 20 years.

If the officials had not botched the Myles Jack turnover and called him down when he wasn't, Bortles would've been in a Super Bowl last year.

The NFL is so far ahead of anything else in revenue and TV ratings it would have to be a catastrophic loss of viewers to just get to NBA/MLB levels.  The money engine and structure is extremely powerful.

I'd just like to be able to watch every Pittsburgh Steelers game.  Too bad, for whatever reason, I'm NOT ELIGIBLE for NFL Sunday Ticket for Steelers games.  Besides, it's frickin $75 a month.  That's exorbitant.  I pay $90 a season to be able to watch every Astros game.
