This one is a 60g and has cast iron and such.  I mean, they have a 30, 60 and 80 and the price difference isn't really 'negligible' for a poor man like myself.

Goes $1099, $1499, $1999.  Thinking the 60g with the some smaller motor might be good enough for the $500 savings?  As for painting, it will be a VERY small amount of painting that I do with this.  Mostly for furniture and spraying lacquer or something.  Not a whole house or whole car.

Should be fine then.  The recovery time is the big deal anyway.  How many CFM it can produce.  You can get by with a 5 gallon unit if the compressor can put out as many cfm as whatever tool you are using.
