Just passing in that the board on my iPhone has lagged on speed since yesterday. May be because Steve is working on it. Steve appreciate all you do. Also...no more “Elvis?”

No more Elvis. It was an uncreative name that I came up while living in Memphis 20 years ago.

And hopefully the speed issues will be worked out by the end of the weekend. We'll probably be on a version of the software that is brand new, but doesn't have our customization. Then we'll work on making it look right.

But running the current version should take away the lag. There are deprecated PHP functions that are still in this software and that's causing it to not know what to do with almost every click.

thx man. And I get it. I started as Swahili Steve 20 years ago. I was reading an article about a Swahili man and my coworker who told
Me to join the board said I should be a dude so Swahili Steve was born

Guys, please keep up. It's slow at the moment, and it will be slow for a few weeks. SteveJ and I are working on it. There will also be lost functions for a while. After that, it will be at full speed.

Our dev copy of things is up to date on the server. So now that I've been through the upgrade, I know it will work. It takes about 30 minutes so late tonight I'll do it here on the real site. Tomorrow morning, it won't look right....I mean it won't look like you're used to because we have to work on the look. But it will be up to date and not throwing errors all over the place.

I'm sure you guys wish I'd go back into the woodwork already.

Other than that hiccup, we're in really great shape to do the upgrade. I'm just cleaning up some final stuff, making sure zero errors are being thrown by anything. There was still some Tapatalk stuff in there that was failing and that's out now.

And the sandbox board is flying. Granted it's just me on there, but there's no lag or drag or anything.

It never occurred to me that you were supposed to come up with some creative name back in 1997 when I first got on the Pigpen. In around 2000 or 2001, I was like, I'm tired of Rick B, THE MOST UNCREATIVE NAME EVER. I was going to change to PiggyStardust. At the time, WebHogs was going strong and several board people (Pigpen then RHF.com) was like, hell, you can't change now. So I didn't. I love reading all the board names and am jealous. My 3 favorites of all time are Niels Boar, Aporkalypse Now, and Nick Ahpleeze, although that last one is not a "Hog" name.
