It's not. Rebuilding the search index apparently caused this whole thing.

Yeah. the little red hog isn't showing up on anything. AND the "ALL UNREAD REPLIES" shows nothing but if I click on "ALL UNREAD TOPICS", everything new shows up and has the little red hog. Even threads I replied in.

If there's a beloved thread you're missing from the index, check your browser history to see if you've viewed it in the past. The URL should take you to it, and posting in it brings it back to the top.

I see now that the "All Unread Topics" button only brings up threads you have posted in and have since received new posts. Maybe that is how it always has worked. If it is, I love it. I don't care about topics I've never posted in and don't want to see those show up.

Clicking on the 'Mark Read' tab at the top of the forums seems to reset the little hog icon for new posts.

Example of what I see. I have not been in any of the threads that have replies today. Nothing shows up when using the "All Unread Topics" button.

Because of the recovery. I'm not going to investigate it.

Now when I get all of SMF upgraded to the current version and there are questions about changed functionality, then we'll start talking about that. But I've got three versions to get through....and whatever issues are around might go away through the process of upgrading, so I'm only worried about things after the last one.

Search is completely broken. Well, not broken, but there aren't any indexes to search. I'll figure out how to get that going...but I think it's going to be rebuilding indexes, which take a while.

And sometimes crash fucking everything.
