Seemed alright to me.

I thought Tole improved with each appearance last year. I think he's the pitcher who makes the big jump this year.

I also think HRW nailed it. hopefully Wiggins has improved his location greatly as it was not good last year after about 10 pitches.

Wiggins has all the tools to be dominant but needed to work on something other than a high 90's fastball that didn't appear to move all that much since it got squared up a few times.

I am optimistic that Noland will make a huge jump this year. Last year he was injured and wasn't at all one of our top pitchers even though he did so well before that. I am hoping he really prepared himself to play out of his mind for his senior season. He is well suited to do that given what a great two sport athlete he is and how great he pitched as a frosh. IIRC he was our Friday night guy some as a frosh.

Not to take anything away from Tole, because I think he is going to be good for us, but he was pitching against the backups.

The injury thing is overstated. He came in out of shape and struggled, then got injured. He is now in fantastic shape and looks primed for a big season. The only question with him is does he have the stuff for Friday nights in the SEC? He will definitely compete, but can he keep the ball in the yard with his arsenal? That is the only question. We will give him run support and the SEC Friday night guys are not as daunting this year as in years past.

I went yesterday and the guy that showed out was Wallace. I think he got out twice in three scrimmages and one of those was hit 100+ off the bat right to the RF. He looks primed for a monster year The lineup is going to be as good as we have ever had. The question is pitching. Smith looked like a typical Freshman yesterday. Walked a few and gave up some hits. He is tough on lefty's but never got a righty out except for a bad called strike on Moore. He's going to be good, but he is going to be thrown into the fire ready or not. Tygart was impressive yesterday, but again we have seen what this conference does to Freshman pitchers. We are really short on LHP's out of the pen. We have four with none of them proven. Some of our older guys have struggled so far and they did in the Fall. Youi start looking at the roster and it's a little difficult to see where the outs are going to come from. Noland, Tole, Bracken, Starks, Wiggins, Adamiak, Ramage, Zeb, Morris Trest, Gray? I think we are going to have to rely on Freshmen like Tygart, Smith and Moten and that is scary in this league. Especially when you look at what Ole Miss and LSU bring to the plate.. We have to find 7 quality arms. That is about all you need for the tournament and you can get by with 5 if you don't lose.
