Pretty much it.

Don't really understand why a starter who is coming back would transfer-- would seem to imply something is wrong somewhere...
Ya, I don't get any of this.

Going to have a very new-look defense next season.

I see that you have made three spelling mistakes.   -Thomas de Mahy, Marquis de Favras, upon reading his death warrant.

So we’re just gonna field an entirely new defense in 2022, huh?

Pretty much.

Remember that Brooks lost his starting job for 2-3 games as did Foucha. They're the ones transferring. Coincidence?

They're not leaving for NIL money either.

Former five star LB drew sanders is following our staff and they are following back. Hasn’t even hit the portal yet and is about to play in the NC for Bama. Welcome to the wild Wild West. We get him, the state safety, another corner then the Tulsa DT and we will be ready to roll.

Good thing we don’t run a defense that features a lot of DBs on the field at a time.

Borrowing Ed Harris’s quote from Apollo 13 about “what do we have on this spacecraft that’s good?,” who are we actually returning next year on defense?

Catalon? Bishop? The DL rotation sans the starters? Almost no LB experience at all if Pool leaves?

He talked St. John out of the portal after some miscommunication and unrustled his jimmies.

You’d have to think that the coaches are fine with some of these recent portalers…right?

I'm not saying they ran him off but I'm sure they're "ok" with Foucha's decision.

Foucha would be our 3rd best safety after Catalon and Slusher.  We want him for depth, but in that context it makes sense to move on.

Let’s certainly hope the rumors about Slusher portaling aren’t true.

even with brooks and ridgeway leaving, i think the roster is still over 85.  there was going to be some pretty big turnover anyway.

and i'm sure some of those 3 year guys that haven't done anything are going to be convinced to seek opportunity elsewhere between now and shortly after spring ball at the latest.  probably not close to being done.

this is where pittman will earn his $7 million.

College football about to follow the nfl as a 12 month sport with players moving in the portal at will.  These are 20 yr olds making decisions based on money, pussy, feels, pussy, mama, homies. It’s gonna be messy for a while.  Good coaches will figure it out.

All the defensive portals are kind of unsettling.  Not for the personnel reasons (hopefully we can replace or upgrade), but for an indicator of something wrong behind the scenes.

Hopefully not.

If it's a case of not getting their asses kissed enough to their liking, I couldn't care less if they kick rocks. If it's a problem in the coaching staff, I guarantee Pittman knew about it before the defensive backfield decided to re-inact the opening of a PUBG match.

...as for me and my house, we will call the Hogs.

It's happening at a lot of places and not just because of coaching chances. I think it's just players exercising their option to be whined and dined. Only when they hit the button it's almost a certainty that they won't be back.

The NCAA governing body isn’t exactly full of Mensa members, but whoever thought unrestricted transfers with immediate eligibility would be good for college football needs to be working with crayons and safety scissors. The old transfer rule was fine.

NIL was an inevitability and was ultimately forced by the O’Bannon ruling, but the portal has been a disaster.

I would have left off "approaching $1million" seeing how there are kids out there over a million by themselves.
