which in 09 were quite underwhelming for a program with their history - 23 CWS with 0 titles

Speaking of, I found something out that astounded me. I know everyone makes a big deal out of how many CWS appearances Florida State has had without a title, but I just read today that in 23 CWS appearances, they’ve only made it to the CWS finals THREE times. Hell, we’ve been to Omaha half that much and we’ve made the finals twice.

I know baseball is a weird sport when it comes to the postseason, but you figure they’d luck into one at least once.

Oregon State is the epitome of that “baseball is weird” ethos since they won their first CWS in just their third trip to Omaha (second since 1952). Pat Casey only made the CWS 6 times and he won half of them.

I do believe that, that guy is a troll.

Definitely a troll. Looking through it, he goes out of his way to make sure each post has at least one misspelling. Even common words like "series" ,"petition" ,and "please", he opts for a odd choices of "ceries" "potiton", and "plese" that almost no one would do.

He coached there before, and isn't a threat to leave for a better job.  Probably not the worst option.

Anybody else suspicious/concerned/wondering about Tygart at the end of the year.  After being unhittable for a while, he basically disappeared at the end of the year, and when he was put back in he was not effective.  Now I see that he wasn’t selected to play in that summer baseball league, or alternatively he chose not to.  I wonder if he didn’t get a little hurt or something — not enough that he couldn’t take the field, but enough so he wasn’t effective.
