Insert the obligatory "I love DVH but" here...When facing teams that have a LH reliever with a pulse, we have to stagger the left-handed hitters better. Schloss was able to own us there due to the fact that we had back-to-back LHHs, followed by one RHH he could walk to get to another LHH.
The bats are such a disappointment this season.
They were last year, too. We just had a great defense and Kopps to save the day with 3 inning saves. I knew we were in trouble before we even hit the postseason when we started seeing Kopps come in regularly in the 7th or 8th for 6+ out saves in 1 or 2 run games. Bats went quiet when it mattered because our lineup couldn’t hit anywhere near .300 and the rest is history. I’ll never forgive that team for how they let Kopps down in game 3 of the Supers.
Our LHH just need to throw in the towel against leftys.
Here's a novel idea...how about RECRUIT A COUPLE OF GODDAMN RIGHT HANDED HITTERS? And when I say "a couple", I don't mean that numerically. I mean, like half the roster, the way most good teams do it.
What happened to “anything close” on 3-2?How do you take that pitch?
