We had 14 LOB in the series. 

Ole Miss had 26. 

We had 24 strikeouts (half in the first game).  They had 24.   We had only two yesterday with several well hit balls right at people. 


Sometimes, it just feels like we are the worst at everything.

Getting out of the two innings where OM had bases loaded was huge.

I am cautiously optimistic that the team will be what it needs to be for the postseason.  But after these two burns --

Last year Kopps bailed us out of a ton of close games, our record was a little deceptive because we had that ace (literally) in the hole.  Tourney performance is dependent on a variety of factors, including just "peaking".  DVH is a great tourney coach.

I'd still rather have our team and coaches than Tennessee's heading into the postseason.  This team could go a long ways.

Yeah, even if we get there I could see us going 0-2 while allowing fewer than four runs total.  Those 92 mph exit velo balls that make up over half of Slavens' HRs aren't even getting to the warning track at TDA or whatever they're calling that ballpark now.

I think a lot of Hog baseball fans are at this point now. Too many bridesmaid finishes. I personally am taking a "Que será, será" approach myself.

Frankly, we're all very spoiled as Hog baseball fans at this point. Kind of victims of our own success (also, I'm not allowed within like 50 yards of any school).
