Wanting to get a natural gas generator to power the furnaces in the home should we lose power during a storm like a couple years ago. Was thinking to install a 10-14kW unit here. It is right next to the meter with a ready gas hookup and the main panel is directly on the other side of this wall in the garage. So the gas and electrical could not be closer. Any ideas how much an install could cost? Just trying to get an idea for budgeting.
If that isn’t enough room could do it here, which would have another close gas connection from the pool heater and only about 10-12 feet from the original location.
