That doesn't explain LSU. He won a championship there at a program that had been dogshit for essentially 40 years before he arrived, and built a program that a functional retard was able to lead to a second one with his players. I'm not saying he didn't cheat there...obviously he did. But LSU wasn't going to get any benefit from the boys in Birmingham. Alabama is one of many dirty programs in the SEC. None of the other dirty programs have matched their level of success. It's not all about the players you buy...if it was, Jimbo would've done something at A&M by now instead of putting up numbers like a taller Houston Nutt. Saban was right about the Aggies...they've been cheating on that level since Bear Bryant got there, if not before. They just haven't had good coaching for the bulk of their history. You don't win as many championships as Saban has, even if you're able to cheat with impunity, unless you have something on the ball.
Mark Emmert was the chancellor when Saban was at lsu. They created the template that Saban took to Tuscaloosa and perfected when Emmert moved to Indianapolis.
