That run in the 3rd inning doesn’t happen if he doesn’t fuck up that pitch in the dirt that he should’ve caught regardless (or at the very least moved and blocked), or if he catches strike three on Pinckney.

At this point, I’d rather move Turner to DH and have Leach be our everyday catcher. Leach isn’t setting the world on fire at the plate but he’s not any worse than the rest of our Mendoza Line hitters and he’s a better defensive player than Turner.

We shit on the guy, but Ramage has been better this year.

Granted, there was nowhere to go but up for him after last year, but he’s been inserted in some pretty shitty situations this year to eat innings and has done his job pretty well.

Evan Taylor is another one who was dogshit last year and better than year.

Those are about the only ones who’ve gotten better. No position players, just pitchers.
