The only nationally televised game of the Arkansas-OSU series is the the 3rd most-watched Regionals game on ESPN networks since 2006, with 531,000 viewers.
I'm not surprised. On SEC Rant it was apparent that tons of fans from other schools were tuning in on Monday for the intrigue given how crazy games 1 and 2 were.
Maybe I'm being a prisoner of the moment, but it feels like college baseball is undergoing a bit of a renaissance and casual fan interest is increasing. Jomboy did a breakdown video last year of the Welch homer against Nebraska, and he made a comment about how fun college baseball is and urged his viewers who were more MLB-centric to start following it more. I could see college baseball appealing to a segment of baseball fans who don't care for the MLB's evolution toward three outcome baseball, skyrocketing strikeout numbers, and plummeting batting averages.
