This seems like a reach, gotta be better candidates out there

He coached there before, and isn't a threat to leave for a better job.  Probably not the worst option.

The relevant portion...

Players who have graduated high school but not attended college are eligible for the draft, as are those who have completed at least one year of junior college. Players attending four-year colleges are eligible to be drafted upon completing their junior year or turning 21 years old.

Are you sure about this?  I know Jackson Rutledge transferred from Arkansas to San Jac after his freshman year, and played only one year in JUCO before being drafted.  He was only 20 his first year in the minors as well.

Even if a player enrolls in a four-year school and then drops out, they must wait three years or until they turn 21 to be eligible for the MLB Draft.

Personal life
Hamm was first married to her college sweetheart Christiaan Corry, a United States Marine Corps helicopter pilot; they divorced in 2001 after being married six years.[116][117][118] She married then-Boston Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra on November 22, 2003, in Goleta, California, in a ceremony attended by a few hundred guests.[118][119] On March 27, 2007, Hamm gave birth to twin girls, Grace Isabella and Ava Caroline. Though born five weeks early,[120] each girl weighed over 5 pounds (2.3 kg) at birth.[121] The couple had a son, named Garrett Anthony, in January 2012.[122]

A girl only has so many eggs.

I used to live about a mile west of Wrigley Field back in the mid-2000s when Nomar was playing.  One day we're going to the game and I'm walking into the gate and walk right by Mia Hamm.  She wasn't strikingly hot or anything but because she was so famous I did a double take like I know this person.  A few hours after the game had dinner a few tables over from her and Nomar.  Had a similar experience with Danica Patrick except she was actually pretty hot.  CSB.

Has he ever done that before?

Ya know, I'm not real sure. You would think if he had, someone would've mentioned it.

That reminds me to also go see if anyone has ever played ball on a torn ACL.
