Thanks for verifying. It may not work for users who haven't used Tapatalk with woopig.net before. I'm working on that.

That’s the main outstanding issue. I’m working on it but the Tapatalk people have to fix it. Since you had it before if you can find any old post in your feed it should let you login and get access. Took me a bit to get that to work on my phone but can’t get it to work at all on my iPad because of this issue.

I had an account set up already, so I finally found it when I logged in.

The free version is chocked full of ads, which makes it hard to understand what the hell is going on. I thought I had the pro version, but I guess they changed it.

Thanks for getting it back online.

You're welcome.

Same here on the pro version. I swear I paid for it one time but I think they changed their pricing model to a monthly service. The ads are annoying as hell.

Omg yay. Went to the inbox, clicked a message, went back to home screen and there were Woopig posts in the feed. Clicked one and it asked me if I was ElvisHog, yes. Now I can use it again.

Huge thanks.

It should now show up in the group search for everyone now. The fine folk at Tapatalk fixed it overnight.

We aren’t controlling any categories or anything else. Once you get logged in there should be a button/page link at the bottom for forums or boards that should give you access to everything. We don’t control any of the content at all. If you can’t get it working let me know.

The comments here reinforce my idea that tapatalk is for chumps.  A lot of work has been put into making regular woopig look good on mobile devices.  I can't imagine why anyone would want a distiller with ads.

The only reason I use tapatalk is that it has other forums I belong to for work/hobby.

It’s a mobile message board reader. Basically a browser specific to message boards. Full of annoying ads unless you pay monthly $$. The concept makes sense if you read a lot of message boards that it supports. One place with some nice features. I prefer the mobile theme on here.

While there's no real benefit to it, I like that Tapatalk will throw an image in the preview. That deal in the attachment is apparently in that thread. The thumbnail plays the video.

On my mobile using my internet app, there's no "unread replies" link like the "participated" link in Tapatalk.

That's practically the only way I read the board. Because I want to see the threads I'm participating in first thing. Go through all of those then go to the main board and look for new threads. I rarely use the unread topics link because 90%of those seem to be in politics and religion.

There is a way to block the posts from P&R from showing in the feeds, in case you don’t know.

Go to Profile and under Modify Profile down the left side, click Ignore Boards Options. Check the ones you want to ignore and click Change Profile. It should keep those boards from showing up in any sort of new updates links or pages.

Seeing it again

Basically what I’ve determined is it’s offset. The thread clicked on takes you to a thread two threads below it.

This comes and goes. I use the timeline field to sort mainly if that helps.

I’m wondering if the annoying ads are causing something to get out of sync.

edit: quick and dirty youtube of it. Can't really tell what I click on from the screen recorder like I had hoped so I guess you'll have to take my word for it.

I’m guessing I’m the only one, since no one else has complained, but woopig stopped connecting in safari on my iPhone SE at 2pm yesterday, and hasn’t worked since.  Just spins, then says it can’t reach the server.

I can open it no problem in other browsers, safari has no problem loading any other site, and I have cleared cache and history, so pretty sure it’s not on my end.  I know the time because I was shit-surfing at the time yesterday, several threads worked fine, and 10 seconds later the site was unreachable.

Open tapatalk and double click your home button. Then swipe up on the Tapatalk page which will kill it. Then reopen and see if that helps.

I don’t have Tapatalk, soooo

I missed the Safari part.

These similar symptoms happened to me before and it ended up being my router having a fit over something. In your case it could just be a wild hair up Safari’s ass.

In my case my router has a package called Snort running and it looks at my traffic, automatically downloads a black list and if anything from that list gets flagged it will alert and block that ip/ca or whatever.

I sometimes have trouble uploading pics on woopig because Snort doesn’t like it for some reason. What will happen is the network will just lock out woopig and it will spin away. I’ll have to go in and white list what it has flagged. Always woopig and never anything else.

The nuclear option is to reset all network settings. You’ll lose passwords and a lot of shit but it might chase the demons out of Safari.

Lots of sites don't work with Safari and when I've had issues with some of the company sites I work with they tell me to use Chrome.  Apple is slowly becoming irrelevant.

On the Tapatalk weirdness. I’m not sure I made mention of this but the time is wrong when I open the app. So maybe there is some kind of time sync issue. I’ll get into some other boards with Tapatalk and see if the problem follows.

EDIT: The time thing seems to follow to other boards so the issue may be with my account or something
